If the comments are anonymous, they are probably lies

If the web site only lists public complaints, the comments are usually posted by malicious people and not to be trusted.

There are numerous web sites which purport to "expose" businesses. These sites permit anyone to post anything and they publish it. Holding them responsible is just not practical hence not possible.

They thrive because people love malicious gossip.

Anyone can post lies about anyone or any business on the Internet and there is nothing the target can do. Once posted, these lies live forever.

These poison pen posters are beyond the reach of the courts.

Use your judgment. When you see an attack on a web site, or a business, ask yourself why the poster published it.

If the complaint is anonymous, do not believe it

These review sites live off defamation and thrive on false statements. Once on the internet any false allegation will exist forever.

BEWARE OF COMPANIES THAT PROMISE TO REMOVE BAD POSTINGS.

THEY ARE FRAUDS AND CAN DO NOTHING MUCH TO REMOVE BAD REVIEWS.

One has to wonder if they post the bad comments and then try to get a removal fee from their victim?

Legitimate companies cannot respond to lies, false accusations and defamatory reviews without attracting more false negative publicity.

Companies cannot keep suing these malicious web sites, The costs are prohibitive. They are also often in a different country.

USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. LEGITIMATE COMPANIES DO NOT KNOWINGLY SCAM CUSTOMERS.

For every deranged customer, most companies have hundreds or thousands of happy satisfied customers.

 Legitimate companies stay in business by providing valuable services or products.

Companies are plagued by false criticism, digital shoplifters, thieves, deadbeats and disgruntled customers who live to file complaints.

Online companies are plagued by digital shoplifters. People who order merchandise on-line and then file false complaints trying to get money back. When refused they resort to defamatory posting and these are common.
