Court Challenges Program. Funding for equal rights court fights in Canada.

THE COURT CHALLENGES PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THE HARPER GOVERNMENT

The Court Challenges Program of Canada is/WAS a national, non-profit organization which provides financial assistance for important court cases challenging laws which may violate equality rights under Canada's Constitution or language rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Funding under the Program is/was available to individuals or organizations who believe their rights have been violated under Canadian law, in order for them to bring their case forward in a court of law.

Granted the program was dominated by three special interest groups to the exclusion of pretty well every one else, so maybe cancelling it was not such a bad idea.

If you think that "Justice" has anything to do with right and wrong or fairness, you are sadly mistaken.
Justice is concerned only with enforcing the law and has little to do with the average man's concept of fairness. CanLaw
